Many mourn 15-year-old Kristjan Ndoj at Shelton funeral

Mourners attended the funeral for Kristjan Ndoj, a Shelton High School sophomore, on a bright and sunny day at the downtown parish.

Kristjan Ndoj, 15, died in the hospital on March 20, five days after being found wounded in a driveway in the city’s Pine Rock neighborhood.

The family arrived with a police escort, and soon after the young man’s casket was carried inside the Roman Catholic church on Coram Avenue for the service.

People began arriving early for the funeral, with many young people and members of the Albanian community being among the mourners.

Kristjan Ndoj is survived by his mother, father, older brother, grandmother and many other family members.
