Nature center expert to speak at Shelton garden club meeting

SHELTON — The Olde Ripton Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting May 1 at 10 a.m. at the Shelton Community Center on Church Street.

The guest speaker will be Margery Winter from the Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton. Her presentation, “Soil-Its Not Just Dirt,” will focus on the millions of creatures working to keep plants healthy.

Guests and potential new members are always welcome. There will be a guest fee of $5. A light lunch will be served.
