NORWALK — Students at all four of the city’s high schools answered the call from the state to decide how best to spend federal COVID relief funds pandemic and were rewarded with a $20,000 grant to carry out their vision.
The state Department of Education solicited proposals from 77 high schools across Connecticut as part of the Voice4Change initiative announced in November. The unique campaign gave students the opportunity to decide how to spend more than $1.5 million American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief funds.
