On Demand: Greenwich at Staples boys lacrosse
Who belongs among the FCIAC's elite boys lacrosse teams? Greenwich and Staples will try to show they do as the third week of Connecticut high school lacrosse gets going. You can watch the Wreckers host the Cardinals in Westport live (or later on-demand) in the player below:
Staples (6-0, 2-0) is off to a great start, outscoring its six opponents 82-30. Along with beating FCIAC foes Danbury (11-5) and Trinity Catholic (19-0), the Wreckers defeated Weston (15-5) and three New York schools: Fox Lane (14-13), St. John the Baptist (13-5) and Kellenberg Memorial (10-2).
Greenwich (2-2, 2-1) has beat Westhill and Wilton and loss to Ridgefield and St. Anthony’s (N.Y.). The Ridgefield game was carried live on the HAN Network last week. The Cardinals have outscored their four opponents, 45-36 — which includes a 20-1 win over Westhill.
While Greenwich faced Ridgefield, which is among the top FCIAC teams this year, this is Staples' first taste of a top-tier conference team.
This game is the HAN Network’s fifth boys lacrosse game broadcast of 2016 spring season. You can watch past games on-demand for free at this link.
This week, HAN will have more live lacrosse and volleyball. Wednesday: Darien at Ridgefield boys volleyball; and Thursday: New Canaan at Greenwich boys lacrosse. You can view the entire schedule here.

Along with Connecticut high school sports contests, HAN broadcasts a daily news program, Coffee Break, focusing on southwestern Connecticut at 11 a.m. and a sports talk show, Nutmeg Sports, Monday-Wednesday. You can watch all the shows at HAN.Network or on demand at live.HAN.Network/han-on-demand/.
