Workers have started to build walls and an arbor roof on the outdoor patio at the Center Street Social bar and restaurant in downtown Shelton, in an attempt to limit noise. (Photos by Brad Durrell)

The establishment’s owner is reacting to noise complaints by an abutting neighbor. The walls and arbor beams are expected to include acoustic buffers.

The bar and restaurant at 127 Center St. shares a driveway with a single-family home (see the red house in photo above), and the neighbor has been disturbed by loud noise from the bar’s outside area.
