PHOTOS: Hike through a snowy Shelton brings ‘camaraderie’ and ‘fun’

The Shelton Trails Committee recently sponsored its annual Marshmallow March at the Nicholedale Farm Land Trust, off Route 110 in the city’s White Hills section.

“Nice weather, a snowy backdrop, and a friendly group all added up to an afternoon of fun with the kids,” organizers said of the early afternoon hike on Sunday, March 9.

The guided hike for people of all ages culminated at a fire pit, with hot cocoa and toasted marshmallows available to participants.

“All seemed to enjoy the hike, the campfire, and the camaraderie that has made this trail event one of the most popular of our hikes,” organizers said.

The Shelton Trails Committee is a subcommittee of the city’s Conservation Commission.
