It is expected to rain and sleet in Shelton early this evening, then change over to all rain into the late night, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
A significant amount of rain could fall during the overnight hours. The winds also will pick tonight, with gusts up to 21 mph, the NWS said.
As of 5:45 p.m. in Shelton, it is 37 degrees.
Will get into the 50s briefly
The good news is that the weather is about to get warmer, reaching into the mid-50s during the coming days. The first day of spring is Thursday, March 20.
But colder weather will return next week, with a chance of snow Tuesday night into Wednesday.
