The accident involving a Jeep Wrangler and Buick LaCrosse took place at about 5:15 p.m.
At the time, vehicles were backed up for a considerable distance heading northbound on Howe Avenue. Police responded to the scene.
It appeared the two drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles, and that they were not injured. The Jeep driver was seen walking outside his vehicle, checking on the condition of the other driver.
The Buick sedan sustained front-end damage while the Jeep was damaged on the passenger side.
The accident happened on Howe Avenue near the part of Cornell Street that goes uphill to connect with Coram Avenue. It appeared the Buick was going south on Howe Avenue and the Jeep was attempting to turn onto Cornell Street while traveling north on Howe Avenue.
