While only about 2 inches appear to have fallen in Shelton, it came down fast at times in the morning, including during later commuting times.

It was slippery snow, causing many motorists to have difficulty gaining traction at stop signs and stop lights, and when driving uphill.

Forecasters had said from 2 to 6 inches were possible in the region.

As of 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Shelton, the temperature is 27 degrees. Some additional light snow is possible but unlikely later this afternoon.

On Thursday, there is a chance for some rain and snow, with temperatures climbing into the low 40s.
