SHELTON WEATHER: Dense fog could be issue during morning commute

A Dense Fog Advisory was in effect overnight, set to expire at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. There could be some lingering fog for drivers who head out early during the morning commute, with fog possible until 8 a.m. or so in Shelton, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The NWS had warned of “widespread dense fog” during the overnight hours.

The area also was rocked by thunderstorms last night, beginning about 1 a.m. and lasting almost an hour.

Should clear up later Tuesday

Some light rain is possible in the morning in Shelton, but it should gradually clear up in the afternoon, the NWS said.

Scattered showers also are possible Wednesday, but Thursday should be mostly sunny and cooler, with a high in the mid-50s.
