SHELTON WEATHER: Extreme cold continues, light snow possible overnight
A Wind Chill Advisory for Shelton remains in effect through 8 a.m. Thursday, with the overnight wind chill temperatures having been expected to be well below zero.
“The frigid conditions will be dangerous to those venturing outside,” the National Weather Service (NWS) said in its advisory for Fairfield County. “Prolonged exposure may cause frostbite.”

It will be warmer Friday, reaching as high as 31, but the winds will be stronger, with gusts up to 34 mph possible.
