While a snow-producing clipper system moved south of Shelton on Wednesday, impacting the mid-Atlantic region instead, the city may not be as lucky this weekend.

The National Weather System (NWS) is predicting from 3 to 5 inches could fall in Shelton on Saturday, depending on temperatures. The precipitation could turn into a wintry mix and eventually rain if it gets warm enough.

The storm should begin as snow early Saturday, and eventually turn into rain by the late afternoon. Temperatures will be in the low 30s on Saturday, the NWS said.

Another snowstorm is possible on Monday evening in Shelton.
