SHELTON WEATHER: Snow likely during Tuesday morning commute, cold continues

The cold weather will continue in Shelton during the week, especially on Thursday and Friday, but in the meantime get ready for some snow on Tuesday morning and possible again on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting from 1 to 3 inches could fall in Shelton in the A.M. on Tuesday, from about daybreak to noon.

That, of course, is prime commuting time. The snow could start as early 3 a.m. although a start-time of a few hours later is more likely.

More snow is possible Wednesday afternoon and evening in Shelton, according to the NWS.

Cold temps, especially late in week

The cold temperatures should hang around until at least early Saturday. Here are the NWS predicted highs and lows for Shelton:

MONDAY: A daytime high of 15 degrees, and nighttime low of 6 degrees.

TUESDAY: High of 21 degrees, with morning snow likely, and overnight low of 7 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: A daytime high of 26 degrees, with snow possible, and nighttime low of 4 degrees.

THURSDAY: Daytime high of 15, with an overnight low of 4-below-zero.

FRIDAY: A high of 12 degrees and a nighttime of 3-below-zero.

SATURDAY: A daytime high of 26 degrees, with chance of snow, and an overnight low of 19 degrees. Combined rain and snow is possible Sunday.
