SHELTON WEATHER UPDATE: Flurries now, perhaps snow later
As of 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Shelton, very light snow in the form of flurries is reaching the ground.
This is making it somewhat slippery, especially with many patches of ice on roads and sidewalks from the snow that melted on Sunday.
It is 19 degrees and, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), will only drop to about 14 degrees tonight — warm compared to last night, when the thermometer reached below zero.
The NWS said there’s a chance for snow tonight, primarily after midnight. No significant accumulation is expected.
On Wednesday, it will be around 32 degrees and sunny in Shelton. But then the cold returns with expected nighttime lows in the single digits from Wednesday night through Sunday morning, the NWS said.
