As of 8:30 p.m., it’s 37 degrees in Shelton and extremely light rain is falling. The precipitation will increase in intensity and eventually change to all snow, likely around 2 a.m., according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The snow should end around sunrise or earlier, with the storm having arrived earlier than predicted.
Up to a half inch of snow is possible in Shelton, the NWS said. Once it ends, Friday will be sunny with a high near 43. Winds will be a factor at 8 to 13 mph on Friday.
Daytime highs will remain in the 40s through Monday in Shelton, then dip to the mid to high 30s on Tuesday and Wednesday, the NWS said.
More precipitation is possible Sunday night and Monday, with a mix of rain, freezing rain and snow likely in the overnight hours.
