Sen. Bob Duff talks electric cars, budget, marijuana and more
CT Pulse, a show on politics, what’s trending in the Constitution state and more, airs Wednesdays at 12:30. Watch it on demand later, or see this week’s show below:
CT Pulse is hosted by Kate Czaplinski and Josh Fisher, both former Connecticut newspaper editors. Josh is HAN’s executive producer and Kate is news director.
This week, state Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff, a Democrat who represents the 25th district of Darien and Norwalk, is our guest.
Sen. Duff talks to us about his recent proposed legislation that would permit manufacturers of electric vehicles to sell directly to consumers.
We also discuss the budget, the make-up of the General Assembly and Hartford politics.
Duff shares his take on a bill before the General Assembly that would make Connecticut the first state in the Northeast to legalize recreational use of marijuana and the potential for children with serious medical issues being allowed access to medical marijuana on Connecticut.
Later in the show we talk about some of the stories you should be following this week, including the bizarre story of a Milford photo used in a sensational Internet story, State Rep. Jason Perillo buying up potential candidate websites and Gov. Dannel Malloy's support of a bill to allow liquor retailers to determine prices.
Editorial Cartoonist Doug Smith also joins us to share some of his classic political cartoons.
