Sen. Kevin Kelly (R-21) is set to advocate for commuter action on Feb. 4 at an informational event from 6 to 7:15 a.m. at the Stratford Metro-North train station on the New York-bound platform.

The senator will hand out information and speak to commuters about recent Metro-North problems, and the actions they can take to seek improvements. Kelly hopes to educate and motivate the public to ask  Gov. Dannel Malloy and legislators to make the improvement of mass transportation a priority.

From tragic safety flaws to service outages, Kelly will discuss how the busiest commuter railroad in the nation has failed the public. He will also discuss how transportation in Connecticut has not received adequate funding, causing Metro-North to suffer as a result.
