Sharon Scanlon sentencing pushed back two weeks
The sentencing for Shelton’s former assistant finance director, Sharon Scanlon, has been pushed back to Jan. 30 in state Superior Court in Milford. It had been scheduled for Jan. 16.
As part of a plea agreement, Scanlon pleaded no contest to one count of both first-degree forgery and first-degree larceny in October 2013. She faces from three to seven years behind bars.
Scanlon originally had been accused of stealing $914,000 in city money. Her plea covers the theft of about $478,000 from 2008 to 2012, due to the five-year statute of limitations.
