If elected, what will be your primary focus — budget, curriculum, another topic?

Budget and sports.

What is your stance on the city-run bus company? A positive or negative for the school district, and what would your stance be when time to go back to bid/negotiate with the city?

I believe it is positive for our district. While we may be experiencing some minor issues with the service (these can be corrected or improved), with the savings we are receiving, change on how this service is provided is not imperative.

Your thoughts on the school budget — how it stands now for what is needed in the schools? How would you help to continue better relations between the BOE/Mayor/Aldermen?

I believe our budget is doing well when compared to other communities in our DRG (District Reference Group). As to better relations with our City’s elected officials, the answer is simple: we need to have constant two-way communication; not just at budget time.
