Shelton High robotics team to compete in state championship

The Shelton High School robotics team will compete in the Connecticut State Robotics Championship on Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. at Haddam-Killingworth High School in Haddam.

The event is free and open to the public. “Our students would love your support at the competition,” said John Niski, the team’s advisor.

The SHS Gaelhawks are currently the reigning New England District champions.

The state championship is being sponsored by Northeast Utilities and the Connecticut Association of Schools.

The SHS robotics team promotes lifelong learning for students in science, technology, engineering and math skills. Students learn creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration, community outreach and business skills by participating on the team.
