Shelton P&Z likely to update regulations on chickens
The Planning and Zoning Commission is expected to amend its regulations on keeping and raising chickens, based on public concerns.
Current rules require at least a five-acre lot, with no limit on the number of chickens or roosters. The new proposal would allow up to 10 chickens on lots from two to five acres, but it would prohibit roosters.
Chicken coops and other enclosures must be properly maintained.
