Shelton dance studio to appear on TV reality show episode

A Shelton business will be featured next week on an episode of a reality show on national cable-TV channel.

That’s ShowBiz!, a dance and theater school, is the focus of the “Dance Moms: Abby’s Studio Rescue” episode that will be shown on Lifetime on Tuesday, Sept. 16 from 8-9 p.m.

“Dance Moms: Abby’s Studio Rescue” highlights a well-known dance teacher from Pittsburgh, Abby Lee MIller, who travels around the country to helps studios facing various issues. Miller became famous through the original “Dance Moms” reality show that covered the trials and tribulations on her students and their parents.

Students from That’s ShowBiz! get to dance with students, and work with instructors, from Abby’s school during the show.

That’s ShowBiz! has moved to a new location on Bridgeport in Shelton and plans to have a grand re-opening in October to show the community its new “L.A.-style studio.” The studio is run by Debra Donovan.
