The Shelton Fire Department responded to the following calls this past week.

Monday, July 11

At 6:20 p.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 and Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 responded with an engine to a fire and gas alarm activated at an Enterprise Drive address.

At 6:32 a.m., Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 and White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with a unit to assist Derby FD at a structure fire at a Pershing Drive address in Derby.

Tuesday, July 12

At 4:44 p.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 and Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 responded with an engine to a brush fire at the 900 block of Bridgeport Avenue.

At 6:05 p.m., White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with a ladder truck to a Dogwood Drive address for a public service call — cat in a tree.

Wednesday, July 13

At 3:17 p.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 and Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 responded with two engines to a brush fire on Route 8 northbound near Exit 11.

At 6:31 p.m., Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1, Pine Rock Park Co. No. 4 and White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine to smoke in the building at the 400 block of Howe Avenue. No fire was found. The smoke may have been from cooking.

At 9:16 p.m., Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 and White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activated at a building on the 400 block of Howe Avenue. There was no fire.

Thursday, July 14

At 10:31 a.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 responded with an engine to assist EMS at a North Street address.

At 10:46 a.m., Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 responded with a unit to an odor outside of a Hillside Avenue address.

At 11:56 a.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 and Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 responded with an engine to an odor of gas at a Shelton Avenue address.

At 3:55 p.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 and White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine to motor vehicle accident on Mohegan Road.

At 7:24 p.m., White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine to a North Meadowridge Drive address for an activated carbon monoxide alarm sounding.

At 11:08 p.m., Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 and Pine Rock Park Co. No. 4 responded with a utility truck to a Coram Road address to assist EMS.

Friday, July 15

At 7:08 a.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 responded with an engine and a utility truck to Buddington Road and Huntington Street for a tree and power lines down across the road.

At 7:12 a.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 and Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 responded with a unit to a fire alarm activated at a Scotch Pine Drive address. There was no fire.

At 6:04 p.m., Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 and White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to an appliance fire at a Fairmont Place address.

At 7:44 p.m., Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 and White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine to a fire alarm activated at the Sinsabaugh Heights Housing Complex, 187 Meadow St. There was no fire.

At 8:56 p.m., White Hills Co. No. 5 and Huntington Co. No. 3 responded with an engine to a fire alarm activated at a Beardsley Road address. There was no fire.

At 5 a.m., White Hills Co. No. 5 and Huntington Co. No. 3 responded with an engine to a fire alarm activated at an Old Dairy Lane address. There was no fire.

At 3:03 p.m., Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 and White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine to a fire alarm activated at the Sinsabaugh Heights Housing Complex, 187 Meadow St. There was no fire.

At 3:21 p.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 and Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activated at Bright View Shelton, 30 Beard Saw Mill Road. There was no fire.

At 4:14 p.m., Pine Roack Park Co. No. 4 and Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 responded with two engines to an odor investigation at a Long Hill Avenue address.

At 4:43 p.m., Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 and Huntington Co. No. 3 responded with an engine to Route 8 southbound to assist EMS.

At 8:35 p.m., Huntington Co. No. 3, Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 and Pine Rock Park Co. No. 4 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to afire alarm activated at the Hilton Garden Inn, 25 Old Stratford Road. There was no fire.

At 9:04 p.m., Huntington Co. No. 3 and Echo Hose H & L Co. No. 1 responded with two engines to an odor investigation at the Mark Apartments, 7 Acadia Lane.
