Shelton police make arrest in Monday bank robbery
A 26-year-old Bridgeport man has been arrested for today’s bank robbery at the Webster Bank branch at 375 Bridgeport Ave. in Shelton.
Michael Magliocco of Garden Drive, Bridgeport, was arrested by the Shelton police and charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree larceny, and second-degree breach of peace, according to a Shelton Police Department release issued at 5 p.m.
The robbery occurred just before 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 30 at the Webster Bank branch in an office building at Bridgeport Avenue and Nells Rock Road.
The suspect reportedly entered the bank and passed a note to a teller claiming he had a bomb, and then left with an undetermined amount of cash.
Magliocco is being held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior court in Derby on Dec. 31, according to the Shelton Police Department release.
