Newtown Savings Bank elected Douglas Wade, Jr., as a new corporator during the Bank’s annual meeting held at the Waterview in Monroe.

Wade, a Shelton resident, is the fourth generation President of Wade’s Dairy, a family business based in Bridgeport.

“We are excited to welcome each of these exceptional individuals to our roster of corporators,” said Ken Weinstein, Newtown Savings Bank President and CEO.

In addition to their governance role as part of the bank’s mutual charter, corporators serve as ambassadors in the Bank’s communities.

Wade serves on Boards of Directors for the Bridgeport Regional Business Council, The Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport, The Fairfield Half Marathon, Juneteenth of Fairfield County, and the Housatonic Community College.

He actively supports the St. Vincent's Swim Across the Sound Foundation and the Alpha Community Services and has been coordinating the distribution of food boxes every Saturday morning from his facility to families in need through a drive-up operation.
