SHELTON — Rough road conditions have forced Oak Ridge Waste and Recycling to stop trash and recycling collection for the remainder of Thursday.

The company informed the city about 1 p.m. of its decision to pull all its trucks off the roads for safety reasons. Company officials said service will resume service Friday, weather permitting.

The company will begin Friday’s collections with whatever was not serviced Thursday, then service regularly scheduled Friday routes. Any overflow with be serviced on Saturday, the company said.
