Following a recall by Elevation Foods, Stop & Shop has removed from sale Ian’s All Natural Italian Style Panko Breadcrumbs because the tagline “allergy-friendly, gluten free” may be misleading.
The product does contain wheat, an allergen, which is listed on the ingredient list, according to a Stop & Shop press release. This product is safe to consume for individuals who do not suffer from a wheat allergy, stated the release.
The product recall is for:
Ian’s All Natural Italian Style Panko Bread Crumbs, 9 oz., UPC 74951277220 with an expiration date of 31MAY15, 11OCT15 & 17OCT15
Can get a full refund
Customers who have purchased the product should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Stop & Shop for a full refund.
