TONIGHT: Thunderstorms expected to roll through Shelton

Showers are expected early this evening in Shelton, with the possibility of thunderstorms.

The rain is most likely after 5 p.m., with temperatures still in the high 70s at that time, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The NWS has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook in the region for later today due to “a chance of thunderstorms producing damaging winds and/or large hail.”

The most severe weather is expected to impact northern Fairfield County.

Rain continues for awhile

Less intense rain could continue through the early part of the night in Shelton, and then it will turn cloudy, the NWS said.

Wednesday should be sunny with a high around 79 degrees. More rain and thunderstorms are possible Thursday and Saturday in Shelton, the NWS said.
