Shelton police, fire and EMS personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident at Constitution Boulevard South and Ivy Brook Dtive/Waterview Drive in Shelton today about 9:30 a.m. (Photos by Brad Durrell)
A silver Volkswagen station wagon and a black Ford sedan collided at the intersection. Extrication was required to get people out of the VW, which was the most badly damaged of the two cars.
Emergency personnel at the scene said there were two occupants in both vehicles, and at two individuals were taken by ambulance to the hospital. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening, personnel said.
As of about 9:50 a.m., police were directing traffic around the scene, in a part of Shelton that is similar to a corporate park. The vehicles had not been towed from the scene at that time.

July accident in same location
A similar accident, involving two cars that collided, occurred at the same intersection on July 17. An occupant had to be extricated from one of the vehicles in the earlier incident as well.
Drivers on Ivy Brook Drive and Waterview Drive both have stop signs but there is no stop sign for motorists traveling on Constitution Boulevard South.
