SHELTON — The Shelton Trails Committee will be holding a work party on Saturday along the Oak Valley Trail.

The work will begin at 9 a.m., with the focus on temporarily rerouting a section of the Oak Valley Trail. Interested volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. where the power lines cross Route 108 just west of the Shelton Dog Park.

Parts of the trail can be wet, especially at this time of year, so plan footwear accordingly. An assortment of tools will be available but volunteers can bring their own clippers and loppers.

Work parties generally last two to three hours, and the work does count toward community service hours.

If the weather looks questionable, check the Shelton Trails Blog for updates before you head out. For more information, contact Val Gosset at valgosset@aol.com or 203-803-5247.
