Water line extension is approved in Shelton
The city is expected to extend public water lines to a section of Cedarwood Lane, based on the request of four of five property owners.
The cost is estimated to be about $11,580 per property owner if all five homes are accessed. Some sort of mechanism likely will be put in place to ensure the fifth home, owned by an elderly person, pays the assessment within a 10-year period.
The Board of Aldermen has held a public hearing on the matter. Cedarwood Lane is near Soundview Avenue and Birdseye Road.
