Woman dies from injuries received from accident on Constitution Boulevard

Police are still investigating an accident that happened on Sept. 4 that left one person dead.

Kathleen Lilley, 69, of Shelton died from injuries received from the accident. She was the driver of the Volkswagen.

The driver of the Volkswagen, 69 year old Kathleen Lilley of Shelton, succumbed to her injuries from the accident that occurred on 09-04-13.

Shelton police are investigating a Wednesday morning accident on Constitution Boulevard that sent two people to the hospital, including one in serious condition.

On Sept. 4 at about 9:10 a.m, Shelton police, fire and EMS were dispatched to South Constitution Boulevard at the intersection of Ivy Brook Road and Waterview Drive for a two-car accident.

A VW and Ford collided

The initial investigation by police revealed that a Volkswagen station wagon traveling east on Ivy Brook Road collided with a Ford sedan that was traveling south on South Constitution Boulevard.

The driver of the Volkswagen, Kathleen Lilley, 69, of Shelton was taken to the hospital and is listed in serious condition, according to the Shelton Police Department. A passenger in the Volkswagen also was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Ford, Christopher Struber, 25, of Ansonia and his passenger were not taken to the hospital.

The Shelton Police Department’s Traffic Division is handling the accident investigation. No enforcement action has been taken at this time.
