SHELTON — A hairless cat named Princess was among nearly $9,000 worth of property stolen from a downtown hotel room over the weekend, according to local police.
Shelton officers responded to the Hilton Garden Inn at 25 Old Stratford Road Sunday for a report of a room burglary, police said. While no signs of forced entry were apparent, several items worth a total of approximately $8,500 were reported missing from the room, according to police. Besides the cat, police said, two designer bags were stolen.
Investigating officers obtained pictures of a possible suspect and the person's vehicle, according to police. Police released an image of a black sedan that the suspect may have been driving.
