SHELTON — A 32-year-old Seymour man has been arrested for allegedly firing a gun during an early morning fight at a Center Street bar earlier this month, officials said.

The Shelton Police Department charged Roberto Cales on Saturday with illegal discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a firearm by a felon in connection with the Feb. 11 incident, according to Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango.

Bango said in a news release Monday that officers were initially called to the Center Street Social after a fight erupted between several men as the bar was preparing to close. He said Cales fired four shots during the commotion.

Bango said no one was injured in the shooting and everyone involved in the fight fled the scene before officers arrived. He said Cales was briefly held on $200,000 bond before being released and given a court date of Tuesday.
