Wolcott police seek man who fled after leaving injured dog at vet

WOLCOTT — Police are attempting to identify a man they said left after dropping off an injured dog at a local vet's office.

In a Facebook Post, Wolcott police said the dog was brought to a Wilton veterinarian office "in very bad shape." The man who brought the dog in claimed to have found the animal by the side of Route 69 in Wolcott, police said.

Police said the man fled after the vets brought the dog into the back to be examined.

Police released a photo of the man and said they are looking for him to determine if the dog had been abused.
