Author visit benefits Pink campaign

A fund-raising luncheon is set in Shelton to benefit Seymour Pink.

Written Words Bookstore and PartyLite consultant Robbin Ford have teamed up to present an author luncheon featuring New York Times bestselling author Nan Rossiter on Sunday, Aug. 23. The event is at 12:30 p.m. at Focaccia’s Café & Catery, 702 Bridgeport avenue.

The fundraiser, named A Nantucket Pink Summer, benefits Seymour Pink, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness. Dajana Damjanovich, a member of the Seymour Pink Board of Directors, will be present at the event.

Rossiter is the bestselling author of several contemporary fiction and children’s books. She will be discussing and signing her new release, Nantucket.

Ford will be taking orders and donating 30% of her proceeds to benefit Seymour Pink.

Tickets for the event are $30 per person, which includes a copy of Nantucket and light lunch with Ford.

Additional copies of Nantucket will be available for purchase. Seats are limited. To register, contact Ford at 203-231-2637 or stop in to see Dorothy at Written Words Bookstore at 415 Howe Avenue, Suite 888.

Seats are not confirmed until full payment is received. Written Words Bookstore and Focaccia’s will also be donating partial proceeds to the event.

All books presented for signing must be purchased from Written Words.
