Brian Tims joins law firm

Brian E. Tims has joined the firm Halloran & Sage LLP at its Westport office.

Tims practices in the areas of civil litigation and criminal defense with a focus on insurance, professional liability, and commercial litigation, including disputes among members of closely-held businesses.

He is a 2001 graduate of Shelton High School, where he was president of the National Honor Society and played on the school’s soccer and ice hockey teams. He earned a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude from UConn. He was also an intern in the U.S. Senate on Capitol Hill.

He then earned his law degree, with honors, at the University of Connecticut School of Law. There, he interned for the Honorable Alvin W. Thompson, now Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and also studied comparative law in Germany. Additionally, Tims received awards for excellence in both constitutional law and trial advocacy.
