The Shelton River Walk will be full of food trucks and a lot fun on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Veronica Parsloe, director of development and marketing for the Lower Naugatuck Valley Parent Child Resource Center, spooke with the HAN Network's Kate Czaplinski about the PCRC and it's upcoming Food Trucks in the Valley fundraiser.

Proceeds from from Food Trucks in the Valley support the Parent Child Resource Center's programs, which serve more than 1,200 children annually.
Food Trucks in the Valley has grown in its second year to include 25-plus food trucks, live music, sports mascots, new and exciting kids activities, as well as a car show.
The rain date is Tuesday, Sept. 22,  4-8, at the Shelton River Walk, 80 Canal Street E, Shelton 06484.
Here is a list of musical performances for the day:
4 P.M.- Father Nelson and the Backsliders (Rock n' Roll)
5 P.M.- Quicksand Planet
6 P.M.- Lava (Modern Mashups by middle school and high school students, a band they started in 1st grade)
7 P.M.- The Alpaca Gnomes (Varieties including Classic Rock, Reggae and more)
The event will raise money to support PCRC’s clinical programs that deliver a state of the art care to our clients — as a leader in the delivery of mental health services to children and families. Many of the more than 1,200 children supported by PCRC suffer from serious behavioral and emotional problems, including trauma, abuse and neglect.
