Many Shelton restaurants part of Greater Valley Restaurant Week from Oct. 6-10
Twenty-four restaurants will participate in the fourth annual Greater Valley Restaurant Week, being held from Monday, Oct. 6 through Friday, Oct. 10.
Participating restaurants will offer special deals from menus of their own creation.
Restaurant Week provides the opportunity for area residents to check out the regions many different restaurants, and is a way to showcase the cultural and culinary offerings of the Valley.
“This is the largest group of participating restaurants that we have ever had, and it is testament to the breadth and diversity of the Valley restaurant scene,” said Bill Purcell, president of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, which oversees the promotional event.
“The chamber urges all businesses and residents alike to take advantage of the special menus and pricing offered during Valley Restaurant Week and to patronize our Valley restaurants throughout the year,” Purcell said.

Restaurant photo contest
New this year is an online photo contest, in which people can enter pictures of their Greater Valley Restaurant Week adventures via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, including the caption #GRVW, to win a $50 gift card.
