New doctor joins medical practice in Shelton
Dr. Elizabeth Arbia, above, has joined Griffin Faculty Physicians, with an office at Shelton Primary Care in Shelton. An open house took place in December to welcome her to the practice at 2 Ivy Brook Road, Suite 115.
Arbia has focused on education and public health during her career. She specializes in family medicine, treating patients primarily from age 16 to senior citizens.
“This gives me a lot of resources,” Arbia said of her affiliation with Griffin Faculty Physicians, enabling her to better coordinate care with other doctors.
The open house featured office tours, free health screenings and consultations, information on Griffin Hospital’s services, and demonstrations of Griffin’s complementary therapies.
Did her residency at Duke
Arbia received her degree in osteopathic medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and completed a residency in family medicine at Duke University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident.
“Dr. Arbia has a passion for providing comprehensive care, treating patients as partners in good health,” according to publicity material.
