Shelton company purchases other business research firm

SSI, a Shelton-based business survey research firm, has completed the acquisition of the majority of assets of MRops, a provider of research operations services to management consulting firms and market research agencies.

Under the terms of the agreement, MRops’ 200 employees will become SSI employees working under the SSI brand.

Clients of both companies should see a single, expanded SSI going forward with no disruption in service, according to an SSI press release.

“This acquisition strengthens SSI’s leadership position by expanding our capabilities in B2B, survey programming and hosting, as well as deepening our expertise in management and healthcare consulting,” said SSI President and CEO Chris Fanning.
