Sanjeev Sood of Shelton has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer for Sikorsky Credit Union.

Sood, who joined the credit union on March 16, will be working out of the financial institution’s headquarters in Stratford.

He is a longtime veteran of the banking industry, and has held CFO and controller positions at various financial institutions in the area, most recently at Simsbury Bank.

Sood has a MBA along with a certification from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management for banking policy and management.

He is married with two children, and has been active in the local community.


Fourth largest credit union in CT


Sikorsky is the fourth largest credit union in Connecticut with more than 50,000 members.

It has an office in Shelton on Bridgeport Avenue as well as branches in Danbury, Milford, Seymour and Stratford.

The state-chartered credit union is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in Fairfield, New Haven or Hartford counties.
