Shelton veterinary emergency center gets Level I certification
VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center in Shelton has been certified as a Level I veterinary emergency and critical care facility by the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
The certification recognizes hospitals that meet and exceed the society’s minimum standards and guidelines.
Level I has the most rigorous application process and requirements of three levels. Level 1 facilities must be open 24/7 and have staff with specific degrees of training available to deal with animal emergencies.
The VCA Shoreline Center, 895 Bridgeport Ave., offers board-certified veterinary specialists in emergency and critical care as well as internal medicine, surgery, neurology and dermatology. Specialists work along with the pet’s primary veterinarian.
