Exploring Entrepreneurship — Launching a new business takes more than just a good idea. This seminar examines entrepreneurship from soup to nuts and offers insight into what one needs to get started. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 6-8 p.m. at the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, 10 Progress Drive.
Doing Business with the Federal Government — This free, interactive webinar is Wednesday, Jan. 29, 12:30-2:50 p.m., provides established small-business owners with critical information such as where to register, resources and programs available, marketing tips, how to decipher federal set-asides, and how to find available bids. Participants also will get a glimpse into navigating through the Central Contracting Registry and FedBizOps, as well as the Small Business Administration’s new set-aside program for Women-Owned Small Businesses and Economically Disadvantaged Small Businesses. Business Counseling — Meet with an advisor from the Women’s Business Development Counsel to discuss obtaining capital, marketing, legal issues, finance, business plan and other topics.
