Author to discuss growing up with parents who were deaf
Kambri Crews will be at Written Words Bookstore for an appearance and signing on Sunday, June 2, at 2 p.m.
In her memoir, Burn Down the Ground, Crews looks back on her unconventional childhood with parents who were deaf in rural Texas, while trying to reconcile it to her present life-one in which her father is serving a 20-year sentence in a maximum-security prison.
The event is free and open to the public. Books presented for signing must be purchased from the store, located at the Oakdale Shopping Plaza, 482 River Road (Route 110). For more information call 203-944-0400 or visit writtenwordsbookstore.com or kambricrews.com.
