Civic groups, business and individuals can clean up litter in a public area, such as a park, open space parcel, school, waterway or roadside, as part of the eighth annual Shelton Clean Sweep from April 18 to 26.

The exact place, date and time is up to the organizer’s discretion. All participants will receive a free iron-on patch.

The cleanup is sponsored by the Shelton Anti-Litter Committee, which focuses on keeping the city free of trash.

For details on joining up, contact city Conservation Agent Teresa Gallagher by email at sheltoncleansweep@gmail.com, or by phone at 203-924-1555, ext. 1315.
