Perfect weather helped draw a big crowd to the event, a double bill that also featured the main performance by Fools on the Hill, a Beatles tribute band.

It was part of the 2013 Music Under the Stars free outdoor concert series, presented by the Shelton Parks and Recreation Department.

Lynn Lewis performs music for younger children and their families, encouraging them to sing along, dance, and meet her costumed character friends. She has written her own children’s songs and has produced a children’s music CD.

Fools on the Hill are a five-piece Beatles tribute band based out of Milford. The group recently played at the second annual "Danbury Fields Forever" Beatles Music Festival.

Two more concerts this summer

The 2013 Music Under the Stars free concert series is presented by the Shelton Parks and Recreation Department.

The outdoor shows are free and open to the public, who are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to the Huntington Green. Food trucks and nearby food establishments also will be available.

The remaining two concerts in the summer series, held Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m., are Midnight Rodeo on Aug. 21 and Little Big Band on Aug. 28.
