Boys & Girls Club serving Shelton plans golf tournament on May 23
The Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley’s Alumni Association will host its annual golf tournament Friday, May 23 at Woodbridge Country Club in Woodbridge. The event will include a golf ball drop raffle.
The golf tournament raises funds for youth programs and equipment at the local Boys & Girls Club, which serves more than 3,000 members at its Shelton and Ansonia clubhouses.
The tournament will have a 9 a.m. shotgun start and scramble format. Entry fee of $165 includes 18 holes of golf and cart, driving range, continental breakfast, buffet lunch, social with open bar after golf, refreshments and hot dogs on the course, and tournament gift.
There also will be a raffle and live and silent auctions.
Golf ball drop raffle
The golf ball drop raffle prize features a $1,000 minimum payout. You need not be present to win. Tickets are $10 each; first ball in or closest to the hole wins.
