Center Stage offering summertime programs
Center Stage Theatre is offering programs for kids and teens this summer.
Growing Up Broadway is in two sessions, June 29 through July 10 and from July 13 through July 24 at Shelton Intermediate School.
Children in third through ninth grades are eligible. Tuition for each session is $275.
Theater camp provides children with instruction in acting, singing and dance. Children attend camp each weekday, from 9 a.m. to noon for two weeks. The two weeks culminate in a 30-minute performance, which is presented for friends and family.
The Teen Musical Theater Workshop is a cabaret event produced at Center Stage each fall.
Fall Cab, as it is known, features local teens performing songs from a variety of Broadway shows.
Auditions will be held in August and are open to all high school students. An informational meeting for interested students will be held on Wednesday, May 27, at 6 p.m. at Center Stage (54 Grove Street). Parents are welcome to attend.
