Colonial spinning and weaving workshop
A demonstration of how girls and women dressed in Colonial times is set for Saturday. The program is for ages 7 and older and held at the Shelton Community Center, 41 Church Street, Jan. 11, 10-12 p.m.
A historically correct outfit will be shown by the instructor, a Colonial re-enactor. See actual artifacts and learn the hands-on process of Colonial fabric-making. Each participant will spin wool and weave a bookmark to take home.
